We design and make our jewelry from beginning to finish, using hand-selected natural gemstones. In designing and making the pieces, we emphasize simplicity, wearability, durability, and openness to light and movement.
Most of our designs start with the discovery of a beautiful gemstone. We regard gemstones as living beings, carrying life and energy and delivering beauty, and therefore treat them with the respect a beautiful living being deserves.
The colors of gemstones are the best complement to the natural beauty of people. Our designs are an attempt to present the innate beauty of both the gemstones and the wearer.
Adel Chefridi was born in the old city of Tunis, along the Mediterranean coast. He came to New York in 1998, and founded his business in 1999 in Brooklyn, New York.
Adel studied Gemology in the most advanced Gem lab and school in the U.S., the Gemological Institute of America, where he graduated as Graduate Gemologist (GG) and Accredited Jewelry Professional (AJP). He then went on to intensive study of goldsmithing at Studio Jewelers and gratuated as a Bench Jeweler.
Adel Chefridi is a member of the American Gem Trade Association (AGTA). The AGTA is an association of North American trade professionals dedicated to promoting the long term stability of the natural colored gemstone, pearl, and cultured pearl industry. The AGTA is well known in the gem and jewelry industries for maintaining the highest ethical standards.
Adel is also a member of the GIA Alumni Association.
